Bison Come Up Short at Cairo, 7-6
Though he had a terrific game, Landon Michaels could not prevent his team, the Buffalo Bison, from absorbing a loss. Cairo won the game, 7-6. Michaels was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Francisco Tenorio earned the win to go to 3-7. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits, with 3 walks and 7 strikeouts in 6 innings of work. Brian Sorensen closed the door for Cairo, picking up his 1st save of the year.

The Pharaohs got a big at-bat from right fielder Jose Morales. For the game, Morales went 1-4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a bases-clearing double. His 10th double of the season gave Cairo a 4-2 lead.

"We had the game right there for the taking," said Buffalo manager Jon Green. "But we decided not to take it."

The last-place Pharaohs own a record of 26-49.
