Huntington Station Loses Again, 6-3
The Vancouver Pioneers downed the Huntington Station Ramrods, 6-3, at "The Fort" at B.C. Place. The Pioneers were led by Fidel Martinez. Martinez went 3-3 with 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs. John Crowther got the win, improving to 9-9. He held the Ramrods to 1 run on 3 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 4. Getting the save was Willie Arredondo, his 37th.

In the top of the ninth, Mike Moss stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Ramrods were trailing 6-3, but had the bases loaded. That's when Willie Arredondo made a terrific pitch and Moss grounded out. Gone was the dream of a Huntington Station comeback.

Vancouver is now 72-73.
