Tribbles Snatch 6-3 Win from Varmits
The Rosewell Tribbles cut down the Yuma Varmits by the score of 6-3 in 10 innings. Much of the credit went to left fielder Freddy Montenegro. Montenegro was 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Tribbles. The Varmits fall to 7-10 and continue to sputter in the early going.

The game was decided with two out in the bottom of the tenth. With Rosewell trailing 3-2, Montenegro jumped on a fastball from 16-year old left-handed pitcher Roberto Vasquez and hit a grand slam home run to left. With one swing, the Tribbles had a walk-off win.

"They beat us fair and square," Yuma skipper Vinny Aceves said.
