The Maple Marauders topped the Cabo San Lucas Toreros, 7-4, at Field de Los Layendas. Maple right fielder John Fritch was a spark plug for the offense. He went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Billy Dionne got the win, improving to 3-3. He worked 5 innings, giving up 4 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. Maple is now 65-81.

With Maple leading 5-3 in the top of the fourth, Fritch hit a fastball from Bobby Avila for a 2-run double. It was his 19th double of the season and put the Marauders ahead, 7-3.

"You win some, you lose some. I don't get too caught up in all that," said Fritch.
