The West Island Jazz handed the Bloomington Blazers a sound defeat, 12-3, at Arson Arena. John Coburn was a main contributor to the win. He went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 6 RBI and scoring once for West Island. West Island is now 48-39.

With West Island leading 3-0 in the top of the third, Coburn hit a cutter from Gerald Bosma for a bases-clearing double. It was his 2nd double of the season and put the Jazz ahead, 6-0.

"I have nothing to complain about," said winning manager Pedro Gonzáles after the game.
