Trace Yeadon, who finished 3rd in the RCL in wins with 18 in 2056, propelled his team to victory over the Bighorn Bison. The final score was 5-2, Houghton. Chris Wethington closed the game out for Houghton, earning his 33rd save. Houghton is now 91-58. Bighorn is 79-70.
Houghton used a clutch at-bat from Geoff Raines to capture the win. The third baseman hammered a 2-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Gremlins ahead, 3-2. It was his lone hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I was just taking it batter by batter, just enjoying the moment," said Yeadon.
