Moonshiners Snatch Late-Game, 8-7 Win
The Asheville Moonshiners cut down the Pennsylvania Butterflies by the score of 8-7 in 10 innings. Much of the credit went to left fielder Jake Haight. Haight went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Moonshiners. The win was credited to fan favorite Steven Shiplack in relief. His record improves to 13-9. Dakson Rocket took the loss. At 70-79, Asheville is in 4th place in the Roberto Clemente League Christian Latulippe Division.

Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Amezwaru Kimaiyo? The Asheville right fielder had a run-scoring double in the top of the tenth inning to put the Moonshiners on top, 8-7. For the game, Kimaiyo had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"To not win that game stings a little bit," said Pennsylvania manager Aaron Barnes.
