Manhattan and Mexico City took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.

Manhattan right fielder Brady Fisher had 3 ribbies while helping his team defeat the Mexico City Luchadores, 9-3. Tom Simmons picked up the win, improving his season record to 9-13. He struck out 2 in 6 innings.

Justin Scott had a big 2-run triple for the Slice in the bottom of the second inning. With Manhattan leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a changeup from Marco Huerta, who finished 4th in the RCL in innings pitched with 211.2 in 2059, and swatted a triple to right-center. It was his 6th triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Slice ahead, 3-0.

Manhattan manager Giampaolo Marcovicci commended his team for "putting the pedal to the metal."

The setback makes Mexico City 78-71.
