The Barbados Revenge and Thunder Bay Lighting riveted fans at Lightning Grove.

Barbados shortstop Fernando Carrizales had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Carrizales was 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once, even as Thunder Bay beat the Revenge, 9-6. Thunder Bay reliever Bobby Chavez picked up the win, while Alfred Engels took the loss for Barbados.

Lloyd Lemay took Barbados hurler Alfred Engels deep in the bottom of the first. His 2-run home run put the Lighting on top, 2-0. In all, Lemay had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.

"We've got some hairy guys on our side, too," said Thunder Bay manager Masamune Fujimoto.

Despite the defeat, Barbados still has a fine 17-8 record.
