Nobuaki Matsushima, who is tied for 10th in the RR with a 1.49 WHIP, imposed his will on the Rangers from the get-go. Relying mainly on his slider, the right-hander spearheaded the 5-1 Manchester triumph. Matsushima picked up the win for Manchester, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 5 hits. He now sports a record of 2-3. With the loss, Carrollton sinks to 17-7.
Jose Rojas took Carrollton hurler Estevan Lujan deep in the bottom of the sixth. His 2-run home run put the Mooses on top, 3-1. In all, Rojas had 1 single in addition to the home run, while going 2 for 4.
