The Montreal Mounties and starting pitcher Warren Foradori stifled the Chicago offense en route to a comfortable 9-2 win at Mount Royal Grounds. The winner was Foradori. He threw 8.0 innings of 7-hit ball. The loser was Tom Elliott. The Mounties improved to 94-58.

The Eclipse had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Mounties going into the bottom of the eighth inning. That changed quickly when the 24-year old right fielder Mark Edwards came to the plate. Edwards hit a run-scoring triple on a 1-0 forkball from Chicago hurler Tom Elliott. It was Edwards's 1st triple of the year.

"I thought Warren threw the ball well across the board," said Montreal manager Julián Martínez.
