Caterpillars Spoil Great Performance by Wiley
Fans watched the Easton Caterpillars and the Thunder Bay Lighting fight to the finish.

The Thunder Bay Lighting got a superb performance from third baseman Mike Wiley, but the Easton Caterpillars still won the game, 9-8. Wiley went 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He drove in 5 runs and scored once. Miguel Tamez finished to wrap up his 2nd save.

Easton took the lead, 9-8, on Julio Montanez's 4th home run of the season. The 3-run home run came off Thunder Bay pitcher Hugo Cortes in the top of the seventh.

"We'll keep playing hard and let the chips fall where they may," said Easton manager Mekonnen Asani.
