Montreal got a first-rate effort from pitcher Raul Olveda, who frustrated Cabo San Lucas hitters en route to a 2-1 Jazz triumph at Stade Claude Raymond. The save went to Ernesto Herrera, number 32 for him. With the win, the Jazz have a record of 72-81.
Olveda picked up the win. He's now 9-10, after putting the Cabo San Lucas offense in the deep freeze. Over 7.2 innings, he allowed no earned runs on 3 hits.
"Main thing is I want the team to win," Olveda told a reporter after the game. "Just have to go out there, take care of my job, and give my team a chance to win."
