Manchester Makes Easton 7-4 Losers
|
Manchester took on Easton in front of a lively crowd.
The Manchester Mooses cut down the Easton Caterpillars by the score of 7-4, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Edwin Aguilar. Aguilar was 3-4 with 3 singles and 2 walks. He scored 2 times for the Mooses. Kasey Thompson got credit for the win, improving to 3-2. He allowed 4 runs on 6 hits in 8.1 innings. Danny Cantu collected his 3rd save.
Manchester used a clutch at-bat from Javy Cotto to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the Mooses ahead, 5-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
"I felt good up there," said Cotto. "I saw the ball well."
The overall performance of the 2064 Caterpillars has been rotten so far.
