Houghton got a terrific performance from pitcher Owen Stegemann, but it wasn't enough to beat the Quebec Armada. Quebec won the Lucky 7 Ballpark contest, 4-3. Stegemann threw 7.1 innings of 6-hit ball for the losing team. The win went to Adam Sturm in relief. His record improves to 3-1. Jared Ritsch took the loss. Danny Phillips closed out the game, earning his 4th save.

Quebec went up, 4-3, on John Bramante's 19th home run of the season. The solo home run, which Bramante hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Houghton pitcher Jared Ritsch shaking his head.

After the game, Quebec manager Ramu Pavi applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.

The Gremlins, now 77-78, have lost 4 straight.
