Pilots Prevail, 4-2, Over Buffalo
|
Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Jacksonville Pilots and Buffalo Bison.
The Jacksonville Pilots defeated the Buffalo Bison by the score of 4-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to second baseman Sam Corson. Corson was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs for the Pilots on the day. Kelvin Tolmie wrapped it up, recording his 31st save.
The Pilots got a big at-bat from first baseman Bob Sanders. For the game, Sanders went 2-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Jacksonville a 3-2 lead.
