Mounties Lose to Earthquakes in Walk-Off
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

San Francisco beat Montreal at Golden Gate Park, escaping with a 7-6 win. The win in large part was due to first baseman Dusty Salstrom. He was 2-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. With the victory, the Earthquakes upped their record to 80-77.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With one out, Salstrom hit a circle change from Jim LeMay for a solo home run. The Earthquakes, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great when the crowd gets into it," Salstrom said.
