Paradise Island picked up a win at Predator Park, bumping off the Victoria Totems, 5-3. Pitcher Angel Candelaria was a major reason the Pirates emerged victorious. The winner was Candelaria. He threw 8.0 innings of 6-hit ball. The loser was Ricky Garza. Robby Barbosa earned the save, his 1st, for the Pirates.

Tim Nichols, who is tied for 8th in the TR in total bases with 75, helped out the Paradise Island cause in the bottom of the seventh inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 4 with a walk.
