Catalano Hits 3 Dingers, Sasquatch Win, 7-3
|
The Seattle Sasquatch polished off the Chicago Eclipse by the score of 7-3. The largest share of the credit belonged to catcher Ryan Catalano. Catalano belted 3 home runs, while adding 5 RBI and scoring three times for the Sasquatch. Seattle's record now stands at 88-71, placing them second in the Roberto Clemente League Mike Brouillette Division.
Catalano contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Seattle in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 3-2, Catalano took a cutter from Jared Simms and stroked the home run to left-center. His 29th home run of the season allowed the Sasquatch to leap in front, 5-3.
"Ryan is still learning," said Sasquatch manager Alim bin Umar. "The sky's the limit for him."
