Storm Earn 5-4 Win Versus Sabercats
The Wichita Storm had to overcome a big game from Sedona left fielder Enrique Hernandez to leave The Lair at Sabercat Field with a victory. And they did, winning, 5-4. Hernandez went 2 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Wichita pitcher Luis Castillo got the win. He's now 1-1. David Salguero was tagged with the loss. Gabriel Carrillo recorded the save, his 4th.

Wichita needed the clutch hitting of Dave Vega to seal the deal. The third baseman swatted a 2-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to put the Storm on top, 5-4. For the game, Vega had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

Wichita manager Jose Munoz commended his team for "doing what it takes to win."

The Storm improved to 12-24.
