The Montreal Jazz defeated the Cairo Pharaohs, 8-3, in Thurman Munson League action at The Pyramid. Randy Daly pulled his weight. The 8-year veteran went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Montreal is now 79-83.

With Montreal leading 3-2 in the top of the sixth, Daly hit a fastball from Bryan Floravanti for a 2-run double. It was his 29th double of the season and put the Jazz ahead, 5-2.

"Things didn't bounce our way," said Cairo skipper Shane Saucier.
