Lighting Tack 7-4 Loss on Caribou
Thunder Bay and Frobisher Bay duked it out and the Lighting came out victorious.

Thunder Bay Lighting right-hander Jerry Thistle pitched a good game against the Frobisher Bay Caribou at Pittodrie Stadium, leading his team to victory, 7-4. Thunder Bay reliever Jerry Thistle picked up the win, while Danny Canas took the loss for Frobisher Bay. Ikuzo Tanaka finished the game for Thunder Bay and earned his 1st save.

It could have been a different outcome for Thunder Bay, had it not been for Lloyd Lemay, the 21-year old center fielder . Lemay contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the first inning to put Thunder Bay up, 2-0.

"Win or lose," Lemay reflected afterward, "baseball is a beautiful game."

Thunder Bay is 20-19 and Frobisher Bay, with the loss, 27-13.
