Rosewell Beats Normal in Extra Innings
|
Normal left fielder Jesus Urrutia had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 7-5, to Rosewell in 11 innings. Urrutia was 3 for 5 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. Brad Keys earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. His record is now 2-1. The Tribbles boast a remarkable 34-6 record.
The decisive blow was delivered by Freddy Diaz in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a 2-run home run off 18-year old right-handed pitcher Mario Abundis to win the game for Rosewell. The home crowd went nuts.
