Commies Squeeze Out Win in Pitching Duel
Boca Raton got a terrific performance from pitcher Manny Diaz, but it wasn't enough to beat the Caribbean Commies. Caribbean won the Castro Field contest, 1-0. Diaz threw 8.0 innings of 4-hit ball for the losing team. The win gives the Commies a record of 4-1.

Caribbean took a 1-0 lead on Salvador Tobon's 1st double of the season. The run-scoring double, which Tobon hit in the bottom of the seventh, left Boca Raton pitcher Manny Diaz visibly frustrated.

"I was a little disappointed," said Boca Raton manager Tomohiro Harada. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
