Syracuse starter Edgar Galeano clamped down on the Easton offense, while his team sailed to victory, 12-1. The winner was Galeano. He threw 7.1 innings of 3-hit ball. The loser was Fidel de Arcos. Syracuse goes to 2-1 with the win.

The Orange Sox got a big hit from designated hitter Jason Eager. Facing Easton pitcher Miguel Aldana in the bottom of the seventh, Eager pounded a grand slam home run to left. His 3rd home run of the season put the Orange Sox ahead, 9-1.
