Sweet hits 2 home runs, Leads Hornets to Win
The performance of Josh Sweet proved critical in helping Eureka beat Seattle, 11-7. The Hornets left fielder went 2 for 2 with 2 home runs and 2 walks. He scored 4 runs and drove in 4. Cesar Romo, credited with the win in relief, is now 5-0. He allowed 1 run on 3 hits in 4.1 innings. The first-place Hornets hiked their record to 57-32.

Sweet contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Eureka in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 6-4, Sweet took a fastball from Andy Mitchell and stroked the home run to left-center. His 16th home run of the season allowed the Hornets to leap in front, 7-6.
