Earthquakes Suffer 5-3 Road Loss
Kansas City picked up a win at Debris Field, bumping off the San Francisco Earthquakes, 5-3. Pitcher Simon Slama was a major reason the Tornadoes emerged victorious. The Tornadoes improved their record to 33-57 with the win over San Francisco.

The Tornadoes got a big at-bat from second baseman Micah Goodwin. For the game, Goodwin went 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Kansas City a 3-2 lead.

Goodwin attributed the win to his team's "collective resolve."
