Tribbles Lose, 9-5

The Paradise Island Pirates and Rosewell Tribbles completed their game despite the inclement weather.
The Paradise Island Pirates topped the Rosewell Tribbles, 9-5, the lion's share of the credit going to catcher Steve Pike. On the day, Pike went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Pirates. Juan Munoz got the win, improving to 1-0. He held the Tribbles to 4 runs on 6 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 4 and walking 6.
In the top of the seventh, the Pirates grabbed the lead when Pike hit his 4th home run of the season. The 2-run home run off Antonio Pascual made it 5-4, Paradise Island.
"I'm trying to see the ball big, see the ball up in the zone and put the barrel on it," Pike told the Paradise Island News.
Paradise Island is rocking and rolling at 34-12.
