Lamb Whacks 2 Home Runs in 14-11 Win
Scorpions center fielder Ian Lamb left his mark on his team's 14-11 win over the Caribbean Commies. Lamb was 3 for 5 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for Scottsdale in the contest. Manuel Olivas was the winner. He's now 2-0. The loser was Bobby Maldonado. Ricky Lopez closed it out for Scottsdale, earning his 2nd save.

Scottsdale won the game in part because of Casey Dawson. The first baseman ripped a grand slam home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Scorpions ahead, 9-4. For the game, Dawson had 1 double and 1 home run in 5 at-bats.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Lamb told the Scottsdale Observer. "It's as simple as that."

The win puts Scottsdale at 6-1.
