Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Syracuse Orange Sox take on the Barbados Revenge.

Alex Sanchez had a good game, but he could not keep the Barbados Revenge from falling, 6-5, to the Syracuse Orange Sox at Syracuse Fields. The Barbados center fielder went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once in the loss. Willie Salazar picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Jesus Lopez suffered the loss. Gabriel Quezada earned save number 7 this season.

Syracuse took a 6-3 lead on Abraham Quintero's 3rd home run of the season. The 3-run home run, which Quintero hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Barbados pitcher Jesus Lopez visibly frustrated.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Barbados manager Dan Barkdull. "The effort was great."

With the win, the Orange Sox improved to 28-19.
