Ramirez Delivers Walk-Off Win for Lighting
|
The Thunder Bay Lighting overcame a pretty good performance by Caribbean right fielder John Miller, beating the Commies, 3-2, in 11 innings. Miller was 3-3 with a home run, a double, and 2 walks. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The winner in relief was Bobby Kolar. He is now 2-0. The left-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 2 innings. The loss has the Commies at 6-5.
Thunder Bay got a knockout punch from Alex Ramirez. The first baseman hammered a solo home run in the bottom of the 11th inning to win the game. It might've been his only hit, but it decided the outcome.
"This place was electric at the end," Ramirez said.
