Lighting Collect 7-6 Win Over Commies
The Thunder Bay Lighting beat the Caribbean Commies, 7-6 -- though it took them 10 innings. Thunder Bay left fielder Alberto Melchor had a pretty good game. He hit 2 home runs. Thunder Bay reliever Bobby Kolar got the win, raising his record to 3-0. Alex Soto was tagged with the loss. Early on, the Lighting, at 10-3, have excelled.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the tenth. With one out, Melchor hit a fastball from Alex Soto for a solo home run. The Lighting, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"The crowd was boisterous today," said Melchor.
