Chavez Helps Cyclones Defeat Caterpillars, 22-5
Due in large part to catcher Enrique Chavez, the Brooklyn Cyclones sunk the Easton Caterpillars, 22-5. Chavez went 3-4 with 3 singles and 3 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Teobaldo Ravasco earned the win. Bobby Jimenez, who is tied for 4th in the RR in triples with 3, took the loss for Easton. The second-place Cyclones have a record of 26-23.

Manny de la Cruz had a big 2-run double for the Cyclones in the top of the fourth inning. With Brooklyn leading 3-2 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Bobby Jimenez, who is tied for 4th in the RR in triples with 3, and swatted a double to right. It was his 8th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Cyclones ahead, 5-2.

"It's nice to come out on top today," said de la Cruz.
