DiDonato Rips 2 Home Runs in 12-3 Rangers Triumph
Though the conditions were not ideal, the Rockville Rangers and Key West Thunder came back from a rain delay to finish their game.

The Rockville Rangers easily defeated the Key West Thunder, 12-3, at Gatorade Stadium, with catcher Chris DiDonato a main contributor to the win. He was 2 for 5 with 2 home runs, while adding 6 RBI and scoring twice for Rockville. Rockville reliever Mario Olvera picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Alfonso Celaya was saddled with the loss.

Rockville first baseman Greg Wood contributed a timely at-bat in the top of the second. With two down, he hit a fastball to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 16th hit of the season and put the Rangers ahead, 3-1.

"Being able to play a game for a living is one thing. Being able to play it well and contribute to a win is even better," Wood told the Rockville Today.

Key West now is 7-6.
