Carrollton Gets 7-6 Win Against Cougars
|
Carrollton and Prince George took Mother Nature's best shot and still managed to complete their ballgame.
The Carrollton Rangers turned back the Prince George Cougars, 7-6, at Rangers Field. Manny Alarcon, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 2-2 with 2 singles and 2 walks. Carrollton reliever Ruben Castro snagged the win, upping his record to 5-0. Joel Cabrera shouldered the loss. Roberto Diaz collected save number 1.
In the bottom of the sixth, Carrollton center fielder Unpei Sakamoto gave his team the lead. With one out and the bases loaded, Cotton hit his 3rd home run of the year. Prince George pitcher Joel Cabrera surrendered it. With that, the Rangers jumped in front, 6-5.
"I like the roll we're on," said Carrollton manager Hung-chang Chao.
Carrollton has now won 5 in a row.
