Lurte Rips Key West for 5 Hits
There are moments in a player's career that they will not soon forget.

Charlie Lurte of the Easton Caterpillars had one such moment at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker, when he went 5 for 5 at the plate. His hitting heroics weren't enough to pull out the victory, however, and Easton succumbed to defeat, 6-5, to the Key West Thunder.

"This was quite a day for me individually, but a little disheartening at the same time," the 17-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "It would have been very special if we had won the game."

Charlie Lurte singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 4th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.

Lurte is hitting at a .239 mark this season. His stats show 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 11 runs scored. He has played 19 games for the Caterpillars.
