The Savannah Peaches topped the Coronado Islanders, 11-3, with youngster Luis Arias playing a key role. Arias slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 and driving in 4 for the Peaches in the win. Savannah is now 38-14. Coronado is 25-29.

Savannah used the hitting of Leo Carrizales to pick up the win. The second baseman clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Peaches on top, 3-0. For the game, Carrizales had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"I thought we played some darn good baseball," said Peaches manager David Flecha.
