Brewbaker Memorial Stadium was the site of an exciting ballgame between the Rockville Rangers and Sylva Miners.

The Rockville Rangers dealt the Sylva Miners a 6-5 loss at Brewbaker Memorial Stadium. Manny Colon was the star on offense. He belted 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Rockville reliever Mike Rose was credited with the win. His record goes to 1-0. Jeremy Remington took the loss for Sylva.

Colon had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-0 slider from Jeremy Remington, he banged a 2-run home run to center, giving the Rangers a 6-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Colon.

"It's always extra special to win at home," said Colon.

Yes, it was a win for Rockville; but their 7-15 mark is nothing to crow about.
