Soper Stars in 10-8 Cardinals Win
The Montreal Cardinals downed the Barbados Revenge, 10-8, at Denis Coderre Stadium. The Cardinals were led by Lou Soper. Soper went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Montreal reliever Leo Romero was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Omar Salcedo took the loss. Danny Ramirez collected his 11th save.

In the bottom of the sixth, the Cardinals grabbed the lead when Soper hit his 24th home run of the season. The grand slam home run off Omar Salcedo made it 10-7, Montreal.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Soper.

Montreal is 35-19 and Barbados, with the loss, 19-36.
