The Rockville Rangers beat the Barbados Revenge, 4-0, at The Drunken Wench Stadium. Starting pitcher Izzy Porras was a big reason why. He held his opponent in check all game. In 5.2 innings, Porras surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 2. He allowed no runs. Rockville has a record of 15-10, placing them second in the RCL R Tony Fernandez Division.
Rockville took a 3-0 lead on Roger Carroll's 3rd home run of the season. The 2-run home run, which Carroll hit in the top of the eighth, left Barbados pitcher Jamie White visibly frustrated.
"Izzy did a nice job," said Rangers manager Sylvester Richardson.
