Caterpillars Suffer 15-0 Drubbing

The Scottsdale Scorpions pinned a convincing loss on the Easton Caterpillars, 15-0, at Knockout Stadium by Brooklyn Decker. Ian Lamb was a main factor in the win. He went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 for Scottsdale. Manuel Olivas, the winner, is now 4-1. He struck out 7 and walked 4 over 7.1 innings, while allowing no runs on 2 hits. Scottsdale has now won 3 in a row.
Scottsdale used the hitting of Victor Villagomez to pick up the win. The right fielder clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Scorpions on top, 3-0. For the game, Villagomez had 1 home run and 1 single in 3 at-bats.
Easton manager Mekonnen Asani called the blowout loss "not what I expected when I rolled out of bed this morning."
