Storm Earn Late Win
The Wichita Storm had to overcome a fine effort from Barbados pitcher Matt Ture to win, 4-3, at The Storm Center. Ture went 6.2 innings and allowed no runs. The win went to Oscar Alers in relief, making him now 2-1. Alex Sandoval took the loss for Barbados. The save was credited to David Collaso, his 1st.

Jose Castro was 1-3 with a walk and was hit by a pitch for Wichita. The 18-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the eighth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Omar Salcedo. It was his 4th RBI of the season.

Castro told the Wichita Chronicle: "I'm the straw that stirs the drink."

Wichita has a record of 21-39, placing them last in the TML R Otto Velez Division.
