Prince George and Caribbean exchanged punches and in the end the Cougars won the slugfest.

The Prince George Cougars overcame a pretty good performance by Caribbean first baseman Vincent Navarro, beating the Commies, 18-14, in 11 innings. Navarro went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs and 3 walks, while scoring 3 and driving in 2. Prince George pitcher Edgar Monterroso got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Sal Penalosa got the loss.

The decisive blow was delivered by Richard Hoskins in the bottom of the 11th when he hit a grand slam home run off 19-year old right-handed pitcher Sal Penalosa to win the game for Prince George. The home crowd went nuts.

Said Hoskins: "What's not to like about a walk-off win?"

The win elevated the Cougars to 22-7.
