The Carrollton Rangers cruised to a win over the Wichita Storm, 19-3, at The Storm Center. Rafael Mercado led the way, going 2-for-4 for Carrollton. The winning pitcher was Jordan Tovar. He's now 2-1. He went 8.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 6 hits for the Rangers. At 35-24, the Rangers are currently third in the RCL R Tony Fernandez Division.

Ernesto Cervantes had a big 2-run home run for the Rangers in the top of the fifth inning. With Carrollton leading 2-0 and a runner on 2nd, he sized up a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Raymond Hale and punished it. The result was his 19th home run of the season, which put the Rangers on top, 4-0.
