The Walnut Creek Warriors locked up a win at Sasquatch Field at Brewbaker Family Memorial Stadium, knocking off the Seattle Sasquatch, 4-1. On the mound for Walnut Creek was right-hander David Godinez. He played a major role in the triumph. Godinez yielded no runs over 7.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 5. His record improves to 11-0. The Warriors have an impressive 61-29 record.
Matt Saxton, who is tied for 8th in the TML in doubles with 29, had a direct impact on the outcome. Saxton contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Walnut Creek up, 2-0.
