Mendez Delivers Walk-Off Win for Caribou
Pittodrie Stadium was the site of some high drama.

The Frobisher Bay Caribou downed the Paradise Island Pirates, 11-8, in 10 innings. Matt Conley led the way, going 2-for-4 for Frobisher Bay. The Caribou improved to a lofty 50-15.

The decisive blow was delivered by Jose Mendez in the bottom of the tenth when he hit a 3-run home run off 21-year old right-handed pitcher Ramon Guzman to win the game for Frobisher Bay. The home crowd went nuts.

"This stadium was a-rockin'," said Mendez.
