Tedaldo goes 1-2, Leads Miners to Win
Left-hander Fabroni Tedaldo mesmerized the Brooklyn Cyclones while leading the Sylva Miners to a 5-0 victory. Sylva goes to 19-19, Brooklyn to 17-21.

Luis Martinez had a big bases-clearing triple for the Miners in the bottom of the sixth inning. With Sylva leading 2-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from 19-year old right-handed pitcher Jorge Arias and swatted a triple to left-center. It was his 2nd triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the Miners ahead, 5-0.

Said losing manager Jerry Cruz: "Give the Miners credit. They played a better game than we did."
