Nick Bojorquez pitched well enough to win, but it was not to be. The Boca Raton Fighting Iguanas, despite Bojorquez's fine outing, dropped a 1-0 decision to the Caribbean Commies at Scripps Field. Alex Soto finished to wrap up his 3rd save. With the victory, the Commies record stands at 17-26.

Ron Thames, who is tied for 2nd in the RR in bases on balls with 48, had a direct impact on the outcome. Thames contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the fourth inning to put Caribbean up, 1-0.

"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Caribbean manager Atamas Manas said.
