No Mercy for Miners in 17-2 Pounding

The Prince George Cougars got production from their entire lineup in an easy 17-2 win over the Sylva Miners. Doing his part was second baseman Richard Hoskins. Hoskins, who is tied for 3rd in the RR with a .439 batting average, went 3-5 with 2 home runs. He scored 4 runs and drove in 3. Brad Karel, credited with the win, is now 3-0. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 9 innings. The third-place Cougars are now 26-15, the Miners 19-22.
Early in the game, Hoskins had a 2-run home run for Prince George. It was his 19th home run of the season and put the Cougars on top, 2-0.
