Wet weather did not postpone the Thunder Bay-Normal ballgame.

The 3-hit performance of David Bieganski helped the Thunder Bay Lighting beat the Normal Nutcrackers, 6-2. Fred Bourque picked up the win with 6.2 innings of work. He allowed 2 runs on 2 hits, while walking 1 and striking out 7. On the season, he is now 1-0.

Chandler Pardy, the Thunder Bay center fielder, contributed a run-scoring single in the bottom of the sixth inning to make the score 3-1, Lighting. For the game, Pardy went 1 for 3.

"Right now, things are falling our way," said Thunder Bay manager Masamune Fujimoto.

The third-place Lighting now sit at 37-32.
