Revenge Come Back Late to Top Islanders, 7-6
|
The Barbados Revenge defeated the Coronado Islanders, 7-6, at The Drunken Wench Stadium. Leading the charge for Barbados was designated hitter Eric James. He went 1-3 with a home run, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3. The Revenge now have a record of 41-29.
The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Barbados trailing 6-5, Antonio Rosales hit a fastball from Ross Lane to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Revenge had a walk-off win.
"This wasn't a good win," said Rosales. "It was a great win."
