Pilots Take Home 3-2 Win Over Buffalo
In a low-scoring tilt between the Jacksonville Pilots and the Buffalo Bison, Jonathan Millsap, who is tied for 6th in the TML with a 1.33 WHIP, was the difference-maker. The Jacksonville right-hander spearheaded the 3-2 win. Millsap picked up the win for Jacksonville, going 7.2 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 9-2. Tyler Martin wrapped it up, recording his 27th save.

The Bison had been locked in a 2-2 tie with the Pilots going into the bottom of the fourth inning. That changed quickly when the 25-year old first baseman Luis Velez came to the plate. Velez hit a solo home run on a 2-1 curveball from Buffalo hurler Brad Helmick. It was Velez's 19th home run of the year.

"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Jon Green.

With the win, the Pilots have a record of 57-34.
